Creating a tutorial, grabbing a webcast, and recording a teleconference are just a few of the things you can do with ApowerREC. This software program can make a recording of any activity taking place on your desktop, any audio coming in into your computer, and your webcam feed, and save it in the media format of your choice. Besides, it can take a shot of your computer screen or of a custom area and save it as an image file.
Starting a new recording is extremely easy. The program opens a small panel with a big red REC button for you to start the recording right away if needed, following the existing settings (default of otherwise) in terms of audio and video quality, file format, codec, etc. You can customize all those settings at any time to fit your preferences, as well as those exclusive to your webcam, your mouse, the floating toolbar, the main panel, your preferred set of hotkeys, etc.
You can add your own annotations to your recordings in real time. The program will open a menu bar with brushes, arrows, text boxes, circles, rectangles, etc., so that you can add messages and free-hand drawings to your videos on the fly. Post-production editing is also an option – you’ll find tools to trim your videos, add an intro and an outro to your recording, apply a watermark, etc. Scheduling recording tasks is another of its bonus features, just like the possibility of uploading your videos to YouTube, an FTP site, or to another platform without leaving the program. more
